Darryl Marchuk was born and raised in the Edmonton area. Playing his minor hockey in Spruce Grove Alberta, Darryl played through the AAA system there. He then played Junior A hockey, where he was a productive offensive player and played in a top prospects game. While playing junior hockey, Darryl became interested in human performance, and knew this was the field he wanted to pursue. After receiving offers to play CIS and college hockey, Darryl chose to focus on his studies close to home and attended the University of Alberta where he received a degree in Physical Education, with a specialization in sports performance. Darryl has spent time working for a Hockey Canada Skills Academy, focusing on both on-ice and off-ice player development. In the strength and conditioning domain, Darryl has worked with numerous athletes, and taught sports performance related continuing education courses to other trainers and coaches. On the ice, Darryl has now worked on movement and skill development with numerous NHL and professional players, many Junior hockey athletes, and countless youth/minor hockey athletes.

Darryl is passionate about working with individuals to help them become the best athletes they can be, while also focusing on a fun environment that embraces all the positive life lessons and values that the game of hockey can teach.
